Branding and Marketing Design

AWARE (Animal Welfare and Rights Enforcers) was designed with a clear and compelling mission: to champion the rights and well-being of animals, particularly within the film and television industry. This project was born out of the need to address the concerning issue of animal cruelty in entertainment, where animals are often subjected to unethical treatment behind the scenes.
Concept & Design Approach
From the beginning, my goal was to create a visual identity that embodies AWARE’s commitment to advocacy, compassion, and action. Every design choice was intentional, reinforcing the organization's dedication to protecting animals and raising awareness about their rights. The branding needed to be both bold and empathetic, a strong voice for those who cannot speak for themselves.
To achieve this, I focused on:
- Symbolic imagery: Incorporating visual elements that reflect protection, justice, and care, ensuring the visuals align with AWARE’s mission.
- A compelling colour palette: Using a mix of warm tones and strong, authoritative colors to balance emotion with a sense of urgency.
- Typography that commands attention: Clean, bold and professional fonts that are easy to read yet impactful, reinforcing the organization’s credibility.
- Visual storytelling: Creating branding elements and illustrations that communicate the realities of animal cruelty while inspiring action and change.
Execution & Design Elements
The brand identity was built around the themes of protection, awareness, and advocacy. To create a sense of trust and urgency, I combined powerful imagery with a structured yet approachable design system. Key design components include: A strong, recognizable logo that representing AWARE’s role as a guardian for animals in the entertainment industry, Informative yet emotionally resonant visuals by using real-world images to bring a sense of reality to the situation but also illustrative elements to give the brand some personalisation, and cohesive branding to ensuring consistency across different platforms, from digital outreach to printed materials.
Final Outcome
The result is a brand that not only raises awareness but also mobilizes action. AWARE’s design reflects its unwavering commitment to making a difference, ensuring that its message is not only seen but truly felt. By visually encapsulating its mission, this project serves as a powerful call to protect and advocate for animals in entertainment, giving them the voice they deserve.
