Aussie Wildlife is a vibrant and engaging educational book that highlights nine of Australia’s most iconic animals, such as koalas, wombats, and kookaburras. Through fun facts and detailed descriptions, the book offers an insightful look into their habitats, diets, and where they can be found across Australia, making it an enjoyable and informative resource for readers of all ages.

Designed, written, and crafted by me, the book features a unique laser-cut bamboo wooden cover with a living hinge, allowing it to open smoothly while maintaining a distinct handcrafted feel. The laser-engraved text and illustrations on the cover add a custom, tactile element that enhances the book’s natural and organic aesthetic.

Inside, the book embraces a scrapbook-inspired layout, bringing a sense of fun and creativity to the educational content. The bright and playful typography, combined with illustrative elements and vivid colors, makes the pages visually dynamic and engaging. Design details such as tape effects, layered textures, and “ripped” paper edges give the imagery an authentic, cut-and-paste feel, reinforcing the handcrafted theme and making each spread feel immersive and interactive.
